Pavilion

The Allen Christian Church, originally located at Main Street and Allen Drive, had a Tabernacle beside the church for services during hot weather, revivals, and the congregation’s celebrations. To symbolize the Tabernacle, the Allen Heritage Village Original Plan included a pavilion on the east side of the church.

The Pavilion will be a wonderful addition to the village and provide for rental receptions, demonstrations and displays during Open Houses and Special Events, family picnics and other activities.

The Allen Community Development Corporation previously approved funding, however the price has increased since approval. The remainder has been requested and is being considered this year.

After the pavilion is built, the Allen Heritage Guild will raise additional funds needed to install side enclosures to provide year round usage.
