Lynge House
This bungalow was built in the 1920’s for Oscar Lynge, and in the 1940’s, Allen grocer Henry Cundiff and his family lived there.
The front entry has 2 doorways. The main door enters the living room, which connects to the dining room with a side porch. The other front door enters a bedroom with a fireplace in the corner and a rare small closet! This room then connects to another bedroom and opens to the kitchen which features a rear door. There is no bathroom — there probably would have been a hand pump for bringing water into the house.
There was a flue between the living and dining rooms that would have served both rooms with some kind of stove. Gas ceramic heaters were also used at this time.
